A coach is a perennial loser, having only one winning season in his tenure as a head coach. He starts a season 4-0, and 5-1, and then lands himself on a 1-7 skid, tumbling from the top of a division, to wondering what position his team will get to draft in. 31 out of 32 teams in the NFL would make a move to replace this head coach.
Last week Ralph Wilson was laughing on the way to the bank to cash that check from Rodgers Communication, now in Buffalo. Dick Jauron is laughing all the way to the bank, with ESPN reporting that he has not only agreed to, but has signed an extension that will keep him here in Buffalo through the 2011 season. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3769872
As If I couldn’t stomach the taste of vomit anymore after watching the Bills blow a win on Sunday, now I have to try and keep my breakfast down after learning that I have to deal with Dopey from the seven dwarfs as my head coach for another few seasons.
Maybe Ralph Wilson is content with being the owner of a team that hasn’t won a Championship since they were part of a now defunct league, and not having made the playoffs in this league in nine straight years. I would say that well, there is always next year, but with Dopey at the helm, 2012 maybe the next time the Bills can even consider a playoff visit.
