Bills Rut everyone’s fault - changes necessary.
Lets face it, this team needs change. From the top down. Thurman Thomas even said the Bills will not win until their is a new owner. Thurman Thomas, one of the brightest and best names to pass through the halls of the Ralph - called out the owner. I think as long as Ralph Wilson owns this team, he will settle for mediocre results. I mean, consider how much money he is losing out on by not selling the naming rights to the stadium.
I don’t blame Ralph though. Why should he make changes and try to win when we the fans continue to sell out that stadium for the current product. We are stuck in a catch-22 situation though. We continue to pack the stadium, there is no reason for Wilson to make the team any better; we start boycotting home games, the league will question the viability of a franchise in our market. Every single person from Buffalo that purchased tickets to see the Bills in Toronto helped nail that coffin lid down. The team will move their eventually, because we proved as a market we will support the team even if the franchise moves. If you haven’t done it yet, you might want to get your applications for a passport in.
The coaching staff is horrible. Dick Jauron is probably the worst head coach in the league. Maybe he should go to Oakland, because that owner wants a yes man, and Jauron will give him that. Its not just him though, he has an assistant coach for every position available, special teams coach, quarterback coach, etc. They are all advisor’s of Jauron’s and fall into line nicely behind him, no one dares think outside the box. When that happens, the Bills win, someone gets yelled at, and it shows the next week when we come out and lose.
The players have no heart or attachment to the game. Joe DeLamielleure made mention of this during his segment on WGR 550 radio. When he was on the losing side of the football, he felt sick, and did not want to go out. These players cash their checks and go to the casino and Chippewa. The players are not being held accountable, and the coaches further that by making excuses for them.
Major changes need to be made before this team will win.
