Excitement in the Air
The mood in the Southtowns on North is dismal, the Bills look to stop the free fall and slow the bleeding since starting 4-0 (sole possession of 1st place in the AFC East) and now at 5-5 (sole possesion of last place in the AFC East.)
The mood downtown and in the radii of suburbs is bleak, as the Sabres started hot, and now can’t seem to play defense enough to win a game. The Bisons look to reconfigure a new team under the new colors of the NY Mets.
If you look to the Northtowns though, there is some cause for celebration, as the UB Bulls have established themselves as the first place team in the MAC, and have a bowl game to look forward too. It’s definitly not going to be the Rose Bowl, or any other prestigious outing that gets lots of fanfare, but for the sports forsaken, it is the best team that the big three (Football, Baseball, Hockey) can offer. Yes we have the Bandits, but lacrosse is a fringe sport, watched by a few.
Congratulations Turner Gill and the rest of the UB Football program. Best of luck from here on out, and hopefully this is the start of something wonderful with the MAC.
