Celebrating Mediocrity

We have a head coach here in Buffalo who has an all time record of 55-69 (and it was helped by a 13-3 year in Chicago – the only year he had a winning record).  He is supposed to be leading this team to the post season.  His record there is less than impressive as well, he is a whopping 0-1 as a coach.

Teams usually give their coaches a contract extension when they are winning, or getting better.  The Bills, maybe up until the first six games of this year were not getting any better and over the last few games they seem to be getting worse.

He brings an arrogant status quo attitude that does not work.  Should the Bills be working on protecting the ball more? Certainly, they have turned it over a sick amount of times at the worst possible moments (if there is a good moment to lose the ball).  Jauron doesn’t think so, he thinks they are doing enough.

Long gone are the glory days of the Buffalo Bills, and as long as Jauron is around, they are far from returning.  If keeping JP Losman around is like keeping your ex-wife around, then signing Jauron to a contract extension is like having having your ex mother-in-law move in with you.

I know the rumors are out there that Kelly is trying to buy the team, maybe he can convince one of this old playoff buddies to coach (or even do it himself, even though I heard he does not want to coach).
