As well as the team has done under him (I use the term 'well' relative to a team that hasn't been to the playoffs in a decade), he doesn't inspire anything from anybody with the exception of a slap in the face to make sure he's awake. Between the penalties, the terrible timing for a fake punt call,  going for it on 4th-and-1 deep in Jets territory... Jauron's list of "It's my first day" moments reads too long for someone who's been in the game for much longer than that. Gotta disagree about JP though. Two C's should take care of a third one: Contract and Captain give Edwards plenty of Confidence. He wears the C and he was the starter well before the season got to Rochester. He doesn't have JP's history of mistakes and he's got the city behind him. I don't think he worries about JP at all. I don't think JP's a bad quarterback, just a terrible fit for this team and that's what separates Trent. JP should be gone next season not for Trent's sake, but so you don't have a backup quarterback who's so disgruntled that if and when he is called upon, he's ineffective.
