Bills vs. Jets

As much as I would like to be a homer, and pick the Bills for a win in this weeks matchup, I think the Bills have shown their peak this year. Injuries are starting to get the better of the team. The recieving corps is down, the defense is hurting, and Edwards has a sore ankle.

WIth the problems the Jets have, the game is going to come down to one thing, and that is the arm of Jets QB Brett Favre. He has fifteen touchdowns so far this year, four short of the league leader. He also has eleven interceptions. The only problem with that, is through eight weeks (seven games) the Bills defense has only four interceptions, two by McGee, who is not 100 percent, and one each by Greer and Mitchell. The Bills defense needs to get the ball to turn the tide of this game.

The Bills offense also needs to learn how to combine the efforts of Jackson and Lynch to make the running game work. Teams can win without a running game, but the winning won’t last all the way to the Super Bowl. The Bills will not make it to Tampa if they can’t get the run game showing some sign of life. It’s not that the running game is horid either, Lynch could easily reach the thousand yard mark, and Jackson will be in the 400-500 range. The Bills need more though.

As much as I hate to say it, the Bills will fall this Sunday, 37-24.
