The Bills bye week could not come at a better time. Everyone has a chance to reset, and the Sabres can open their season without the distraction of a Bills game. Here are the rest of my week six predictions.
Carolina vs. Tampa Bay – it is important for good teams to figure out how to play on the road. I think Carolina will figure that out and beat Tampa Bay in Tampa. I just do not think the Bucs have what it takes to be more than a .500 team, and they won’t be able to beat any strong teams this year, unless they get lucky.
Washington vs. St. Louis – I don’t want to call this an automatic win for the Skins, but they are the upstart surprise team coming out of the gate this year. The beating of Dallas was a huge boost for this team. I think this will be close, because I do not think that Washington has the tools to blow a team out, but they should come out of this one pretty unscathed.
Jacksonville vs. Denver – Denver should see their unbeaten streak at home come to an end here, but it is going to take Jacksonville all game to put away the Broncos.
Dallas vs. Arizona – The Cards are flying high right now, and I do not think there is a team that can stop this buzzsaw in action. Cards do not have the blowout performance again like last week, but no late game heroics from Romo save this one. Cards come out on top, and Dallas falls to 4-2.
Philadelphia and San Francisco – two 2-3 teams matching up in another contest I could care less about. Because of the travel I am going with San Fran on this one.
Green Bay vs Seattle – I picked Green Bay to finish a lot higher than what they are sitting at right now, so I am going to pull for a Green Bay win here. They should be able to beat Seattle.
New England vs. San Diego – this one is a tough one, what should be a matchup of power houses is looking like a couple of teams playing catch up to those around them. Despite travel, New England I think has more weapons and pulls this one off.
The monday night game should be moved from Monday Night to Sunday afternoon. I would just assume watch the Arizona/Dallas contest on the coveted Monday night spot as opposed to watching the Giants rout the Browns.
