At just over 9 million per season (as it averages out – signing a 4 year 37.5 million contract) Lee Evans has just become the highest paid athlete in Buffalo sports history (Yes Vanek made more money this year, but on the average).
I think this is a good move for several reason,:
1) A Buffalo sports team was able to sign a good athlete before they tested the market. A player that wanted to stay rather than test the market.
2) It shows he has faith in Edwards.
3)It keeps a core player in Buffalo.
