Enemy Territory

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

This week I was asked to be on The Fifth Down, the NY Time NFL blog as a guest blogger to write about the Jet Bills game. I made the prediction there that I did here, a Jets win, 37-24, unless the Bills can make Favre turn the ball over like he did last week.
The mood down in NY must be alot better than it is here, with the Jets already looking like an improvement over last year. But according to the comments on the Bills vs Jets post, a rout is in order on Sunday to the [...]

Bills and success

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Watching the Bills play this year, from the start of the season until now, they may very well make the playoffs, but I do not think they have what it takes to win it all this year, unless they can get healthy, and remain that way.  The Bills success has to come from their starting corp, because they do not have the depth on this team to carry them.

Bills vs. Jets

As much as I would like to be a homer, and pick the Bills for a win in this weeks matchup, I think the Bills have shown their peak this year. Injuries are starting to get the better of the team. The recieving corps is down, the defense is hurting, and Edwards has a sore ankle.
WIth the problems the Jets have, the game is going to come down to one thing, and that is the arm of Jets QB Brett Favre. He has fifteen touchdowns so far this year, four short of the league leader. He [...]

Donte Whitner

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

So I unfolded the Buffalo News this morning to see Dante Whitner at Niagara Catholic High School for a clinic won by a student at the school.  The picture was of Whitner signing the kids shirt.  The problem that I have with it…was Whitner expecting an important phone call?  Couldn’t he have taken the blue tooth out of his ear while he was with the kids?
I give both Buffalo teams (BIlls and Sabres) credit, they are heavily involved in the community, but can’t you leave the cell phone in the car?  What every phone calls you get cannot be important [...]

Bills vs. Dolphins

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Well this week went against everything the Bills needed.  Not only did they lose to the Dolphins, they did it in a very embarrassing manner.
Trent Edwards looked more like JP Losman.  The Bills turned over the ball in the second half on three different occasions, if you add in the safety against Edwards it was four straight drives the Bills laid down in front of the Phins on.  Don’t take this the wrong way, Miami did not win today because Buffalo rolled over, CHad Pennington played a huge game today, and really dictated the offense, beating Buffalo for the first [...]
