As I was perusing the net for Bills news I found this interesting tidbit…
Lost in the shuffle of the Bills’ training camp questions was the fact that head coach Dick Jauron is in the final year of his original three-year deal with the team, but ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that the Bills have begun “substantive discussions” to extend his contract, saying the Bills “got more aggressive in negotiations after the team opened the season with a victory over Seattle.”
Really, I mean, it is time for the Bills to settle on a coach, learn his system and win, but can it be done with Jauron? His career numbers are low, 50 wins and 67 losses spread across three teams, (Bills, Lions, Bears), with only one post season game appearance and a 0-1 record. If the Bills are going to contend and be a major player in the league, they need to shed Jauron and get a coach with a winning record and aggressive drive.
