Preparing for Arizona

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

So the line on the Bills vs. Cardinals games is 1.  Really…1?  I see this as a battle of upstart teams, the Bills have the youth, the identity and the drive, if they can keep it together they might get a string of four to five years of great football out of this group.
The Cardinals are a team seeking their identity.  The Cardinals are reeling from a point happy game in which the Jets beat them 56 to 35.  They are going to ramp it up a notch in front of the home crowd in order to prevent that from [...]

Bills remain undeafeted – cruising past Rams in second half

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Well it was not as easy as it should have been, but the Bills were still able to pull off another come from behind victory to remain unbeaten.  While the Bills look to cement their place atop the AFC East heading into their bye week, nothing is in cement in St. Louis.  There are two pillars on that team that kept them in this game long enough to  make it interesting.  Little and Jackson.  They were the brightest spots in St. Louis tonight other than the Archway to the West.
The Bills were not infallible on a night which should have [...]

Slow Start could be killer in a should be win

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Rams are playing exactly how the Bills should be playing.  The Rams defense is blocking all the holes, Lynch cannot go anywhere, and the O line has dissolved allowing 3 sacks.
Lets just hope Stroud and Peters are minor injuries.

Prayers from Buffalo

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

The most sincere and heartfelt prayers to the Arizona Cardinals and Anquan Boldin  who was just taken off the field in NY after a very nasty helmet to helmet hit.  The city of Buffalo knows how nasty an injury like this can be, we went through it with Kevin Everett, and we all hope the best for Anquan Boldin.
Hopefully the precautions taken by NY and AZ medical staff were strictly precautionary, and Boldin is in the lineup against Buffalo.

Defer the Deferring

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

I am not one to argue with the mundane rules of the league, but if there is ever one rule that I would like to have abolished from the face of the earth (or at least from the NFL) is the deferring to the second half.
I have not heard of it working in favor of a team that has done it all year.  I think coaches who select this option are over thinking the game.
Jauron’s only reason for not deferring in the first home game was because he felt it important to get the ball into his teams hands right [...]

Bills vs. Rams

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Were just hours away from kickoff and for the non-Bills fan reruns of Hannah Montana may be more interesting to watch than this game.
The Rams have become the epitome of sports one hit wonders that have plagued league championships. Long gone are the dynasty eras when one team could be relied upon to be heavily favored to win the championship. Even the Yankees have fallen victim to this. So this is what today’s game looks like (if your interested in going the Ram’s Fan-sided author is reporting tickets are going for as little as six dollars).
The Bills [...]

Not exactly as I called it, but close

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

So again I was not that far off my prediction.  I did say it was not going to be easy, and the Bills, thanks to a late push and a late field goal, both the Bills and Raiders scored more points than I thought they would.
It was a grudge match, an unexpected one (who knew Russell would go 84 yards for a TD on one play).  The Bills faced adversity, much more than last week, and did not succumb.  I said it earlier on, this Bills team is a little bit better than last year, better to the point that [...]

Do You Believe?

AUTHOR: Zach | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

You will not see me thank the Miami Dolphins for winning.  Ever.  Period.  Except for today.  With the Dolphins win, and the Bills slipping past the Raiders, the Bills are atop the AFC East, and are the only team undefeated.  The Bills start 3-0 for the first time in 16 years!
