Trent Edwards injured his wrist in the third quarter of the Jets game. He is expected to be fine and X-rays were negative. J.P. Losman came in after Edwards was injured, and he hooked up with Lee Evans for an 85-yard touchdown pass, the longest of both their careers.
Edwards was injured when he was hit on an incomplete pass to Robert Royal. He was taken to the locker room and missed a series. When the rookie quarterback returned to the sideline shortly before the end of the third quarter, Edwards had his right wrist wrapped by a trainer and remained on the sideline for the remainder of the game.
“The X-rays came back negative,” said Edwards, whose wrist was wrapped. “We’ll reevaluate it tomorrow.”
