That’s right folks…Monday Night Football makes it’s return to Buffalo, NY. It’s unfortunate that the game will be played under the current circumstances. The Buffalo Bills have been bitten by the injury bug this season. The Bills will be missing numerous players on both sides of the ball, as the injuries seem to pile up every week. The Dallas Cowboys come into the game as, arguably the best team in all of the NFL. The game will give Buffalo fans an opportunity to shine in the national spotlight, let’s hope they don’t blow it…oh who am I kidding, they will.
I have written before that the Bills could pull off an improbable upset and they have let me down but tonight is another night so I’ll try again. If the Bills win this game it would be one of the biggest upsets in the NFL this season but here me out. If all the starts are aligned properly and the Bills play a flawless game they can do it. If you think I’m an idiot and have no idea what I’m talking about than stop reading now because I’m going to list the reasons Buffalo COULD win this game.
- The Bills haven’t played on Monday Night Football since 2000 and haven’t played at home on Monday Night since 1994…Most of these players have never played on Monday Night Football (although they grew up watching it) tell me these guys aren’t jacked
- The Cowboys play night games all the time, in fact it feels like every week.
- The Cowboys may be looking ahead to a showdown with New England next week (In Dallas)
- The Cowboys may be over confident based on how well they have played and how poorly Buffalo has played thus far this season.
I am well aware that all these things are not football related but let’s not fool ourselves…if this was based on Football the final score would be 52-0 in favor of Dallas. There are many intangibles associated with football and they may come into play tonight. I give the Bills about a 10% chance of actually winning this game but it’s fun thinking they have a chance isn’t it?
