Edwards leads Bills to first victory

Trent Edwards already has more wins than he had in his last season at Stanford. Edwards looked poised and confident in guiding Buffalo to a 17-14 victory over the visiting New York Jets. Michael Gaines was on the receiving end of Edwards first NFL touchdown that put the Bills ahead 17-7 in the fourth quarter.

The Bills defense was key in the victory, intercepting Chad Pennington twice including a pick by Terrance McGee with six seconds left to seal the victory. The defense had allowed over 400 yards in each of their losses but held the Jets to 346 total yards. The key stat for the Bills defense was holding the jets to only 60 yards rushing after allowing an average of 177 yards on the ground through three games.

The Bills will next take on the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys come into the game 4-0 after beating St. Louis 35-7. The game could be the stiffest test yet for the over-matched Buffalo Bills.
